Previously known as the Swallow Hill Folk Festival, the HarvestFest is Swallow Hill's longest-standing tradition and is celebrating its 17th year in 2008. The event originated as the Folk-a-Thon, a 24-hour non-stop celebration of folk music and kinship, and has grown into a weekend event that is focused on what Swallow Hill does best: building community through interactive fun that revels in the merriment of great music.

Chatfield's Annual Corn Maze

Negotiate the twists and turns of the newly designed cornfield this fall at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield's Corn Maze - one of the most attended corn mazes in the country. Each year the design of the Maze changes, creating a new and better challenge! The Maze features numerous winding pathways created by 12-foot tall stalks of corn. Two 15-foot tall illuminated bridges overlook the giant Corn Maze, and a mini-maze will thrill younger children. To kick off the fall season there will be an A-maize-ing Scarecrow Contest for any family or organization to enter. The prize packages are fantastic so start working on your scarecrow now!

Mountain Fest is for all mountain enthusiasts. Activities are designed for beginners to experts, families to adults, Colorado Mountain Club members and the public. Proceeds from Mountain Fest help disadvantaged youth experience and learn about the mountains through CMC's Youth Education Program.

Of course, Estes Park is known for the Stanley Hotel – named as one of the top ten haunted
hotels in the United States; inspiring Stephen King to write his famous novel, “The Shining.” Imagine the
ghosts that will be making an appearance for this season.
The Stanley Museum in Lower Stanley Village is offering “Ghost Stories of the Stanleys”
Some hotels, he says are haunted because of tragedies. The Stanley Hotel is haunted
because it was one of the most wonderful places in the world to go for an extended vacation.
